What's included in GEO
Everything in the GEO Plan ($799/month), card by card. Each one maps to a line on the plan.
GEO audit across five AI tools
We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Overviews the questions your customers ask. We record whether you're named, how you're described and who is named instead.
20 tracked prompts, every month
We agree 20 real customer-style prompts with you, like "who does emergency furnace repair in London, Ontario". We re-run the same set each month so you can see the trend.
The sources behind the answers
Where AI tools cite sources, we note which sites they use. That shows which directories, review sites and publications matter most in your market.
Entity and brand-fact consistency
Your name, address, phone, services, hours and service area should read the same on your website, your Google Business Profile and key directories. We find the mismatches and fix them.
Content AI tools can quote
FAQ hubs, clear service pages, comparison and "best of" pages that answer real questions honestly. Short, well-structured answers are easier for both AI chats and answer boxes to use.
Schema and structured data
We add code that labels your business facts, services and FAQs, so search engines and AI crawlers can read them without guessing.
Monthly GEO share-of-voice report
How often you're named across your prompts, compared with your competitors, plus what changed, what's working and what we'll focus on next.
Want more sites mentioning you? A Links & Citations campaign or Digital PR adds the third-party mentions AI tools look for.
AEO and GEO, explained
You'll hear two new terms for how people find businesses now. They're related, but they aren't the same thing.
AEO (answer engine optimization) is about being picked as the direct answer. That's the summary at the top of Google (AI Overviews), the featured snippet, the "People also ask" box, the answer in Bing and Copilot, and what Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant reads out loud. It rewards pages that answer a question clearly near the top, use FAQ and how-to sections, carry schema markup and keep local facts like hours, areas served and prices the same everywhere.
GEO (generative engine optimization) is about being mentioned and cited inside an AI chat. When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude or Google AI Mode "who's a good roofer in London, Ontario?", the tool writes an answer and often lists its sources. GEO works on whether your business is part of that answer. It depends on a consistent identity across the web, mentions on the directories, local news, trade and review sites these tools draw on, and pages that are easy to quote.
Put simply: AEO wins the answer box. GEO wins the recommendation inside an AI chat.
For a local business, both matter. Your customer asks the same question either way. They might type it into Google, say it to their phone or ask a chat app. Neither replaces SEO, Local SEO or your Google Business Profile. Both are built on top of them.
One honest note: AI answers change, sometimes from one day to the next. No one can promise an AI tool will name you. What we can do is track the same questions every month and improve your odds.

Integrated
How AEO, GEO and SEO fit together
Think of it as layers. SEO makes your website clear, fast and easy to rank. Local SEO and a well-kept Google Business Profile put you on the map for nearby searches. AEO shapes that same content so it can be picked as the direct answer. GEO makes sure AI tools can find, understand and back up what they say about you.
The last piece is other people talking about you. Links & Citations gets your business named on the trusted sites that AI tools and Google both lean on.
- SEO and Local SEO: the foundation every answer draws on
- AEO: answer-first content for AI Overviews, snippets and voice
- GEO: tracked prompts, brand facts and mentions for AI chats

How AI tools decide which businesses to mention
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot or Google's AI Overviews for "a good accountant in London, Ontario", the answer isn't random. These tools build it from two places.
The first is what the model already learned from the web. If your business is mentioned clearly and consistently on trusted sites, the model is more likely to know you exist and describe you correctly.
The second is a live search. Many AI tools now look things up as they answer, then cite the pages they used. Those pages are usually ones that answer the question directly, are easy to read, and come from sources the tool already trusts: your website, your Google Business Profile, directories, review sites, local news and industry publications.
So GEO comes down to three things: whether the tools can find you, whether they understand exactly what you do and where, and whether other sources back that up. That's what our work targets.
The terms, in plain English
A few more terms you'll see in your reports.
- Entity: how search engines and AI tools understand your business as one "thing" with a name, location, services and owner. Mixed-up details weaken it.
- Brand facts: the core details about you (name, address, phone, services, hours, service area). We make sure they match everywhere.
- Schema / structured data: code on your site that labels these facts so machines can read them without guessing.
- Citations and mentions: places your business is named on other sites. AI tools lean on them to confirm who you are.
- Tracked prompts: real customer-style questions we test each month to see if you're mentioned.
- AI share of voice: how often you're mentioned across those prompts, compared with your competitors.
What happens each month
The four steps above give the overview. Here's what the work looks like in practice on the GEO Plan.

Step 1
Build your prompt set
We agree 20 prompts with you, based on how your customers ask about your services. For example, "who does emergency furnace repair in London, Ontario" or "best family dentist near Byron".

Step 2
Record a baseline
We run every prompt across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews. We record whether you're mentioned, how you're described and who gets recommended instead.

Step 3
Find the sources behind the answers
Where tools cite sources, we note which sites they're pulling from. That shows which directories, review sites and publications matter most in your market.

Step 4
Fix your brand facts
We correct inconsistent details on your website, your Google Business Profile and key directories, so every source tells the same story.

Step 5
Add schema and AI-friendly content
We add structured data and create content built to be quoted: FAQ hubs, clear service pages, comparison and "best of" pages that answer real questions honestly.

Step 6
Earn mentions on the sources that matter
Being named on the sites AI tools cite is one of the strongest signals. This is where a Links & Citations campaign or Digital PR adds weight.

Step 7
Re-test and report
Each month we re-run your prompts and send a GEO share-of-voice report showing what changed, what's working and what we'll focus on next.
What GEO can and can't do
We want you to know what you're buying.
AI answers change. The same question can get a different answer tomorrow, or a different answer for a different person. No one can guarantee that an AI tool will recommend your business, and we won't promise that.
What we can do is remove the reasons a tool might skip you or describe you wrongly: missing facts, mixed-up details, thin content and too few trusted sources mentioning you. Then we measure the same prompts every month, so you can see the trend for yourself instead of taking our word for it.
GEO also isn't a replacement for SEO or Local SEO. The same strong website, profile and reputation that help you rank in Google are what AI tools draw on. That's why this service works best alongside them, for businesses in London, Ontario, across Southwestern Ontario and in the GTA.

Book a free strategy callGEO (generative engine optimization) is about getting your business mentioned and cited when people ask tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI results for recommendations. AEO (answer engine optimization) is about being the direct answer in places like AI Overviews, featured snippets and voice assistants. More people now ask these tools questions instead of scrolling search results. Our service helps make sure your business is part of those answers.
